DIALOGUE FOR ACTION

WE ARE

Established as a volunteer movement in response to Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Copenhagen-based team engages the local community to deepen understanding of Ukraine’s socio-political and cultural context by supporting dialogue between Ukrainian and Danish civil society, institutions, and local leaders, and by providing a platform for authentic Ukrainian voices

WE DO

– Defence of human rights and freedoms through advocacy for civilian captives, prisoners of war, military personnel, and veterans (Center for Civil Liberties, Voices of Captives, Dansk Institut for Internationale Studier)

– Representation and advocacy for minorities, social and ethnic groups from Ukraine, as well as Ukrainian resistance and life under occupation (Project “Unheard Voices”, Den Danske Helsinki-Komité, Mellemfolkeligt Samvirke, El Cheber, Zla Mavka)

-Host and co-organizing lectures, public discussions, roundtables, conferences, and rallies that enable dialogue and build meaningful partnerships between Ukrainian civil society and professionals.

– Womanhood and female leadership support (Women`s Association Sphere, Hospitallers, WomenforUkraine, Native Path, The EUkrainian, KOLO Nordic, Kvindelige Veteraner, Europa-Kommissionens Repræsentation i Danmark)

– LGBTQ+ rights and visibility (Ukrainian LGBT+ Military and Veterans for Equal Rights, Kyiv Pride, Kharkiv Pride)

– Presenting underground art, youth movements, memes culture, digital activism, film screenings (Silba København, Andersen Festival in Odense, Stand-up Comedy, Teater.a, Country to Country)

– Awareness-raising and promotion of interest in European history and the future (Crimean-Tatars history, Holodomor commemoration, Rigsarkivet cooperation, Dansk-Ukrainsk Selskab, Europa-Kommissionens Repræsentation i Danmark)

– Media outreach and interview coordination for Danish media (Politiken, DR Kultur, Zetland media, Ukraine – History in the Making podcast)

Media and digital literacy – confident and effective use of information and digital tools, disinformation awareness, and information hygiene (conference) “Corruption and anti-corruption measures in Ukraine”.

“Unheard Voices of Donbas” – highlighting marginalized experiences from Eastern Ukraine.

“The Silent Casualty of War”- exploring environmental damage caused by war in Ukraine.
